MERRY, MERRY! Countdown of Our Favorite Things…

Top Holiday Movie: We are not sure why The Sound of Music consistently gets holiday play, there is not a single holiday scene in the endearing 3-hour musical drama, but we do wish Love Actually would get more air time. It is one of our favorite watches with a glass of Grand Marnier by the fireside. We also enjoy quality time with loved ones watching a host of seasonal dramas.

Additionally, these are also our favorite holiday flicks:

5. It’s a Wonderful Life - because we love the wooing in this film. It allows us to dream of romance.
4. A Christmas Story - because the father in this greatest holiday comedy “worked in profanity the way other artists might work in oils or clay. It was his true medium; a master.”
3. Miracle on 34th Street (1947 original) – because the New York lifestyle of the elegant single mom, played by Maureen O’Hara, still rings true today.
2. A White Christmas – because thanks to this classic tale, we all dream of a weekend holiday, snowed-in at a cozy cabin just. like. this.
1. Love Actually – because “love actually is all around,” but also because we cannot get enough of Bill Nighy in this modern holiday tale.

Top Holiday Albums: When in a holiday mood, we throw in these holiday soundtracks to perfect our cozy backdrop and if there is snow outside, brilliant.
