So the shirts in our wardrobe have all been deemed irrelevant with the current climate in fashion.
When the asymmetrical, and the exaggerated cuffs, or the pulled off the shoulder styles came on the scene a few seasons ago, the goal was to cop one trendy piece – the cold shoulder. And it worked by way of one sweet update.
At the time sweaters, pullovers, and textured tops were quickly populating wardrobes around the city at an intense rate. The summer grew tired of off the shoulder styles by August.
Now, fast forward to fall 2016…all bets are off. The Marques ‘ Almeida spring 2017 show during London Fashion Week, although spring based, was the straw that broke the camel’s back. It became abundantly clear that the pretty, hi-low blouse with the cutout back or studded collar tops are now all suddenly dated.
It is just that thing. It is not a matter of trend but a matter of relevancy. And. Since we pride ourselves in relevancy…a huge overhaul of our fall tops are underway. Thanks Paulo Almeida and Marta Marques.
